Municipal Housing Office (OMH)

Project description

Completed in partnership with Québec-based company Belevedair, the pumping device will make it possible
for the site’s existing irrigation system to be supplied with recycled rainwater. The Municipal Housing
Office (OMH) in Baie-des-Sables comprises 10 low-cost dwellings, made available for low-income individuals
or families.
The pumping station transfers rainwater from the tank to the automatic irrigation system. When the
amount of water in the tank is running low, the pump stops automatically and resumes once the level returns
to normal. Several security measures have been included in the pumping station in order to prevent
sudden or unexpected starts, whether they be due to a depressurisation of the pipes or other unrelated
reason.
